I'm watching you like a hawk
Annie Nightingale was a good friend of Sam's. They would often go on holiday together. This video was what inspired the catch phrase "watch out watch out big sister Sam is about". Sam always had her video camera on her and she filmed everything and in the video Annie gets fed up with Sam and she told her she was like Jeremy Beadle. So I came up with a mix to George Orwell's Big Brother always watching us mixed with Sam's positivity and bon vivant attitude to life. So the sentence is literally reminding people to Enjoy life because big Sister Sam is watching over us!

World cup final in Paris France v Italy
Our father is English and our mother French and we both had dual nationality. But Sam loved to maintain her English identity whilst in Paris. Although in this video she shows us how she switched sides when it suited her!
Circus Paris
As I said before everytime we went to Paris to see Sam she always had loads of activities planned for us. This is when she bought my parents, my kids and I tickets to go to the circus.

The kids and I in Paris Xmas 2002
You could never be bored with Sam. Everytime we would go and see her in Paris she would have loads of differents activities planned for us. Bike rides in the rain...
When I say in the film is there any sound, it is a family joke because I had previously gone to China and a friend of mine had lent me his Handycam videocamera and I was pursuaded that the camera had no sound and so I kept saying to people in the entire film not to worry the camera had no sound and when we watched the tape we were all in stiches cause obviously all modern cameras have built in sound nowadays.
I love you Samantha
Sam and I loved to watch musicals together when we were kids. I can't remember how many times we watched High Society. We never got tired of it, I think it was like a fairy tale for us. I still enjoy it. The clothes they wore, they were just so elegant. Grace Kelly, Big Crosby, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra and rest of the cast . Oh how I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall when they made that film.

Bums up! watch the video that inspired the drawings
Cinderalla Sam goes to Le train bleu with Lulu of course!
My parents take Sam, Patrice and Lulu to the famous Train Blue restaurant in the station La gare de Lyon in Paris.
I must say that France is always a great place to travel to with your dog, as they are allowed in nearly all restaurants. I can't say the French are so hospitable to children!

The Train Blue
It was upon the occasion of the Universal Exhibition in 1900 that the Paris-Lyon-Mediterranean (PLM) Company built the restaurant. In the beginning, it was called the “Buffet de la Gare de Lyon” (Lyon Station Buffet).
It was renamed “Le Train Bleu” in 1963, in tribute to the celebrated “Paris-Vintimiglia” service, then granted historical monument status in 1972 by André Malraux.
The establishment also owes its renown to the forty-one paintings on its walls and ceilings - the most famous amongst them represent the landscapes traversed by the trains of the PLM network – and its waxed parquet flooring, wood panelling, the patina of the long, leather-upholstered wall-seats, white tablecloths and logotype crockery.
Since its inauguration by Emile Loubet, the President of the French Republic, on 7th April 1901, customers have been flocking to the restaurant. Regulars have included Coco Chanel, Brigitte Bardot, Jean Cocteau, Salvador Dali and Jean Gabin.
More recently, Luc Besson immortalised the restaurant in his film “Nikita”. The restaurant is still as popular as ever: some 500 diners are served every day at the Train Bleu.

5 Park Road - Our house the house Sam & I grew up in
I am sure for those of you who spent many a long Sunday lunch (that ran into dinner), at our place, you will find this little trip down memory lane amusing and for those that never came I welcome you in to our old house, the house where Sam and I grew up. And if houses could talk I'm sure it has many a tale to tell!!!
Our mother Mireille was born French, I say born because she has after many years of living in the UK acquired a British passport. But when she first arrived to England people used to joke about her being a froggy and that is more or less how the frog collection began.
Those of you who like antic markets will enjoy taking a stroll around our old house. Those of you who like uncluttered modern houses don't bother watching!

Benjami Tous starting to create Sam says: Enjoy life
I asked my good friend the Catalan painter Benjami Tous to try and help create the Sam and Lulu (Lucien the chien) characters for the Sam says: Enjoy life project.
We are working on creating Sam's philosophy of life into drawings. We are basing the character on Sam and Lulu, but we are not trying to reproduce Sam
